Denton-Murphy Wedding

When Steve Murphy called me about his plans for a very intimate wedding at a resort in the foothills between Townsend and Pigeon Forge, I had no idea how beautiful a wedding it was going to be. After driving down from Michigan, Steve and Kami spent a day in Nashville and then headed to their cabin at the “Preserve Resort”. This is one of the most intimate weddings I have had the pleasure of photographing. Steve’s twin girls and his parents attended and his father who is a retired United Methodist minister also officiated. That’s one of the things that I love about weddings is the amount of diversity you find between them. I can photograph an elaborate East Indian wedding with over 500 guests one week then a very intimate small wedding at a cabin in the mountains the next week…I love it!

The most amazing day of my life...beautifully captured by Bill and his assistant Sarah. My daughters Kate and Abby still ask about them. After everyone had left and Kami and I were enjoying our honeymoon in the cabins, I would call the girls and they would ask, "is Bill and Sarah still there?" Or, "Is Kami still in her wedding dress?" They somehow thought my bride would be wearing her dress to bed! I can honestly say that the small collection of photos displayed here in Bill's blog makes my heart beat a little faster with his beautiful works of art. I can't wait to see the finished album! Thanks Bill (and Sarah)!!!!!

Steve (the groom)
