End the Delusion of Time

After a gloomy, rainy day yesterday, I was walking my dog "Sonic" when the clouds began to clear and the most beautiful sunset appeared. I grabbed my camera to capture these images and as the sun continued to set I thought of this excerpt from "The Power of Now" -
"To be identified with your mind is to be trapped in time: the compulsion to live almost exclusively through memory and anticipation. This creates an endless preoccupation with past and future and an unwillingness to honor and acknowledge the present moment and allow it to be. The compulsion arises because the past gives you an identity and the future holds the promise of salvation, of fulfillment in whatever form. Both are illusions."

Banks-Gerwels Wedding

I photographed Jacqueline Banks and David Gerwel's wedding on September 8th. The ceremony was held at the Graystone Presbyterian Church and the reception followed at the East Tennessee Historical Society. I had a wonderful time and captured some great moments!

McLeod-Hillis Engagement

I am looking forward to photographing Michelle and Seth's wedding next month. They are both a pleasure to work with and we had a lot of fun during their engagement photo session.

Murphy-Gilliam Wedding

I haven't been able to update my blog in the last couple of weeks because Google decided to upgrade their blogger app which for some reason would only allow me to create a new blog but would not allow me to access my current blog. After enough people complained they finally got it straightened out! Yea!!!! Enough of that...
I wanted to share with you some images from Jenny Murphy and Jonathan Gilliam's wedding on August 26th. The ceremony was held at the historic Church Street United Methodist Church and the reception was held at Crescent Bend. This was truly a beautiful wedding with over 300 guests attending. Brittany and I had a wonderful time capturing what I feel are some real works of art. To view the finished wedding album click here.
