Carrico-Kinser Wedding

Lauren and Dane were one of the most talented couples I have had the pleasure of photographing. They are both very talented singers and musicians and even gave a performance to each other during the reception! I must say though that Lauren's shoes had to be THE most unique I have ever seen. Reebok even asked for some of the photographs to run in their national publication...awesome! The Lily Barn is such a picturesque location and we were blessed with gorgeous weather. I love outdoor weddings and receptions as I can shoot almost entirely with natural light. As a matter of fact, I never used my flash! Thigpen-Moss Wedding

After a little over four years of dating, Steve proposed to Meghan during a horse drawn carriage ride in Chicago over New Years Eve.
While searching for just the right venue that could accommodate their large number of guests, they read about Laurelwood in a fall issue of Southern Living magazine and after visiting and meeting with Larry Bannier Meghan knew she had found her perfect location atop Signal Mountain. Laurelwood has everything you need to create a beautiful wedding with any theme you might have in mind. Larry even had a wagon that he had purchased from Steve’s father over twenty years before that Meghan incorporated into the décor.
Jenny McFarland with Tag Team Events went above and beyond helping Meghan achieve her perfect day.
Amelia, Corey and I had a wonderful time! To see a few images from Meghan and Steve's wedding, click on the image below...

Lee-Harvey Wedding

One of the nice things about having a great staff of senior level photographers is that it allows you to document some beautiful weddings in multiple cities that otherwise you would never have the opportunity to cover. Christy and Sarah had a great time in Nashville photographing Marquinta and Brandon's wedding. Their venue at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center was spectacular! Everything flowed as if it had been choreographed by the conductor of the symphony. To view some images from their wedding click on the image below...

Grossman-Harp Wedding

What a perfect wedding! Ashley and Anderson were such a pleasure to photograph. Ashley's mother, Gail took care of many of the details while Ashley was finishing up school in Italy where she and Anderson met. In addition to the wedding, Gail asked me to photograph Ashley's bridal session at the Cherokee Country Club and their rehearsal dinner at the Orangery. Their ceremony was held at the Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church and the reception followed at the Cherokee Country Club. As you can see from the images we had a blast!

Jim Haslam Cover Shoot

Another great opportunity to capture an icon in the community for the October City View cover. Jim Haslam was featured as one of the top philanthropic leaders in the Knoxville community. He was an inspiration and a real pleasure to photograph for City View magazine.

Cacace-Vizer Wedding

Christy Chasserreau, who is one of my senior photographers, covered this wedding and I decided to tag along as her second shooter. I actually love being second shooter because the attention is on the primary photographer which frees me up to capture moments when the bride and groom are less aware of my camera. Lisa and Dustin were a joy to work with. The ceremony and reception were held at the Gettysvue Country club. One of my favorite images is one that I took of Lisa from the back in front of the beautiful green landscape of the fairway next to a stately oak tree. Click on the image below to see more...

DeAlejandro-Evans Wedding

What a spectacular venue for a wedding! I must say, the Tennessee theater made for a very unique backdrop for their ceremony and reception. Jennifer and Nate were married on stage with all of their friends and family as audience to the show. I was very excited to try out my two new Canon Mark III cameras which are capable of capturing images in much lower light and they did not dissapoint...most of the images you will see were taken with available light! Immediately following the ceremony the guests were served cocktails in the main lobby while La Costa laid out a spectacular presentation behind the curtains. What a cool evening...their wedding coordinator, Adriennne Atchley did not miss a thing...every detail was perfect! Click on the image below to see more...

Patterson-Muchnick Wedding

Natalie and Paul made the perfect couple. They first met where they attended college at Samford University in Birmingham. Their wedding was right out of a storybook...from the ceremony at the First Baptist Church of Concord to the reception at the Convention Center there was not one detail that was overlooked. I plan to feature Natalie's wedding in the August, 2008 issue of Premier Bride. To see a few images from her wedding, click on the image below...

Middleton-Kiger Wedding

Suzi and Chad were such a great couple...they made me feel like family! I had the pleasure of photographing Suzi's bridal portrait and their engagement session prior to the big day. The ceremony was held at All Saints Catholic Church and the reception followed at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Knoxville. We had a wonderful time...I think we even saw our Sarah out on the dance floor. Congratulations Suzi and Chad! To see a few images from their wedding, click on the image below...

Martin-Davis Wedding

Well this wedding was definitely a lot of fun for me. I have experienced a few interesting locations with the groom and groomsmen before the ceremony like playing 9 holes of golf...but I must say that lunch at Hooters was a blast. Christy photographed Kelly as she was getting ready at Maple Lane Farm while I got to hang with Ken and the groomsmen surrounded by Hooter girls! The ceremony took place at the First United Methodist Church in Johnson City with the reception following at Maple Lane Farm. Check out the photo of the momma duck with her babies heading to the reception! For more photos click on the shot below...

Diana and Dana's wedding was so much fun! The girls started getting ready at Belezza Salon in Bearden Hill and had a great time. Later, I met them at the Messiah Lutheran Church for their pre-ceremony formals. I have to say, this is one of the most timely couples I have ever worked with! We were ahead of schedule the entire day. The ceremony was lovely inside the church and the reception following was a BLAST! The limo picked-up the bride and groom at the church and drove them to the Hilton downtown. After they were introduced, everyone (including us!) enjoyed a great sit-down dinner followed by dancing...and dancing...and some more dancing. They literally danced the night away.
It was a wonderful day, and we had a wonderful time shooting their wedding. Congratulations Diana and Dana, we wish you all the happiness in the world! To view more images from their wedding, just click on the image below.

Fannin-Wild Wedding

Wow. That has to be the opener for this blog. Somer and Lance's wedding was at the Allendale Mansion in Kingsport, TN...and it wowed me and my assistants. All of the girls had their hair and make-up done in a room upstairs complete with an antique four-poster bed and antique lace curtains. It was beautiful. The actual ceremony took place outside in the courtyard underneath a huge tree with the canopy protecting the bride and groom and all their guests from the sun. At the end of the ceremony, white doves were released, and it was spectacular! Following the ceremony, all the guests joined Mr. and Mrs. Wild in the big white tent for a festive reception complete with fish swimming in the flower arrangements and pink and silver globes hanging overhead. It really was a perfect evening. Congratulations Somer and Lance! To view more images from their wedding, just click on the image below.

Eric Ainge Cover Shoot

City View asked if I would photograph Eric Ainge for their August cover which I was more than happy to do! Eric was a real pleasure to work with and I think we captured some great images. He didn't want the usual staged "holding the football" or Heisman stance. I think these photographs captured more of his real personality. Click on the image below to view more from the cover shoot...
